December 2017 Newsletter Article from Pastor Carol Stufflebeam

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The season of Advent is upon us…it truly is one of the most blessed times of the year, it is a time when we reflect upon the scriptures that tell us about the Lord’s birth, a season when we experience hope anew. During Christmas we remember the words of the angel Gabriel as he said to Mary, “For nothing will be impossible with God” (Luke 1:37). We too hang onto those words as we journey through life. God is still a God who performs miracles.

I invite you to reflect upon your life and look for the ways God has blessed you…then give God the praise and glory for all He has done. We recognize in Mary and Joseph’s story that God was with them, we can rest assured that God is with us as well. As you journey through Advent this year, I encourage you to take time to draw near to Christ and give thanks to God for the greatest gift you’ve ever been given…love, hope, peace, and grace upon grace.

As you gather with family and friends this Christmas, remember that Jesus went from the manger to the cross for you. May your celebrations be filled with joy knowing that Jesus did that for each of us. Merry Christmas!
